~Cambridge~

**The University of Cambridge has been in existence since the early thirteenth century when scholars moving from Oxford and from Paris formed a school here. The early students lived in private houses: not until later were they provided with communal hostel..**

As the name of Cambrige, it is not a college.
Cambridge is the place where all the college gather (like an union)..

Followed a travel agent to Cambridge,
first things to do is punting.

Punting = 5 pound

King's College, just pass by to take picture..^^

The main attraction that i want to go is this>>>

St. John College, the school for Harry Porter.
Entrance fees 2.50pound for student is i not mistaken..

Sedgwick Museum of Geology
Free entry

Sedgwick Museum of Geology is one of the World's Major Collections of Fossils.

In this Cambridge trip,
I found out that Cambridge is a relaxing place and it is a nice place to study..
Enjoy the trip very much..

I have went to Manchester for a day trip by bus,
it takes me around 1 hour plus to reach there from Liverpool,
time reached Manchester is around 10am,
so first things we do is looked for information center to get the map and find out the attractions..

The map in information center is so special~(ok, maybe is just I never seen it before)

After get the map,
we decide not to go to Old Trafford as we don't have enough time for attractions,
therefore first place we looking for is the China Town in Manchester because we wish to have some chinese food that we doesn't eat for a month...
and of course take some photos here..^^

The Manchester China Town~

At last we choose this restaurant that is near the Town Hall as the price is AFFORDABLE ~

Tampopo~7.50pound for a set of food..I shared it with my friends..

Town Hall~

*Waterhouse successfully combined the ceremonial and workaday requirements. The Town Hall was designed in the thirteenth century Gothic style but it was, in Waterhouse's words, a building 'essentially of the nineteenth century.' It incorporated such innovations as a warm air heating system. The structure comprises 14 million bricks encased in Spinkwell stone. The exterior of Building, bears some notable sculptures. Over the main door is a statue of the Roman General Agricola, who founded Mamuciam in 79AD. Above him are Henry III and Elizabeth I, while at the apex of the main door gable is a statue of St. George.*.......

(Information getting from Town Hall Guide)

Next take the free bus to MOSI which is Museum of Science and Industry~

MUST go attraction in Manchester~

There are many parts and many different hall in this museum,
and some of the science is quite fun..(I think school can organize trip for student to learn science here)..
We use a lot of time in this place,
so my friend went to shopping in Manchester,
me and another friend continue exploring...

Cathedral Yard, another attractions in Manchester~

Due to most of the attractions close at 5pm,
therefore I have no chance to go for more attractions,
however, those attractions already give me a lot of experience..

There is no charge for any entrance fees for those museum,
bus number 3 is also free of charge,
the transport fees from Liverpool to Manchester is around 6.6pounds...

~York~

Followed the outside tour to York,
a place full of historical building~~

This place is our drop off point..
a nice view, take a picture first~~

Clifford's tower~

York Castle Museum~~

All Saint Pavement York..when we on the way to York Minster, we saw this~

Church of Holy Trinity~

*The first existing record of the church is a charter of 1082 which, although subsequently proved to be a forgery, does contain certain elements of truth. That church would have been a simple rectangle with thin walls and no trace survives of it other than a fragment of Norman chevron decoration and traces of reused 12th century work in the south wall. The chancel dates from the late 12th century and part of its original north wall and south-east buttress is evident.

Between 1470 and 1480 the east end was altered completely to accommodate the magnificent stained glass window given by Revd John Walker in 1470-71. He is said to have rebuilt the chancel as well, and, if this is so, the whole of the north aisle must have been erected at the same time, for the pillars all have capitals of the same profile. In 1495-96 the tower was built, the main part of the church being then complete.

There were minor works in the 19th century which were fortunately not too extensive, as the proposal to remove the box pews in 1896 was never carried out.

Holy Trinity Church is an exceptional Grade 1 Listed building.*

York Minster~ The MUST visit place in York..

*York Minster dominates the City of York, and is the principal cathedral in the north of England.
The first cathedral was founded in 627AD by St. Paulinus, one of the earliest missionaries to England, and the present building was finally dedicated in 1472. York Minster is built on the site of the Roman fortress where Constantine was proclaimed Roman Emperor in 306AD. Constantine became the first Christian Emperor, and this led to the spread of Christinanity throughout the world. So the very foundations of the Minster are connected with the history of the Christian faith.*

National Railway Museum~Another MUST visit place in York~

This is a place full of many train,
different type of train, different century~

A nice trip to York~
enjoy and nice experience...
If you like food, the Newgate Market York has a lot of nice food too..
